Caddies Required Hornsea200 Needs You! Caddies required! Owing to a couple late cancellations we are looking for three caddies to help us out next week (Friday 29th June) in the Hornsea200. We need two caddies for the 6am-8am slot and one caddie for the 2.15pm-4.30pm round. If you are interested, please contact us directly Joe: 07535 829496, Leigh: 07540 836266 or have a word with Stret, Yvonne or Nathan in the shop.
Things to consider; due to the scale of the challenge we walk at a brisk pace and a round of golf will take about two hours. We also will be using pencil carry bags with about half a set of clubs in and a few balls but not much else.
Whilst we’ve got caddies for all the other rounds throughout the day, we really would appreciate as many members supporting us out on the course as possible. We attach our schedule of the day which we won’t deviate far from so you can have a pretty good idea of where we are on the course should you get the chance to pop up. Click here to see the caddie list. Note: The night golf element (10pm to 4am) is being played on holes 7, 10, 11 & 12 in a loop. Many thanks for your continued support Joe & Leigh
Yorkshire Match On Saturday, Hornsea Golf Club played host to the County match between Yorkshire and Durham. It was a very close game with never much in it. It was nice to see a few members come up and watch and I am sure would have all noticed that even though not all shots hit the green, it really did show how important the short game is, as nearly every time they missed the green they all chipped and putted like Seve. Along with our own members watching quite a lot of Yorkshire and Durham supporters were walking around the course supporting. Our home player Matty Raybould had a great day not only winning both matches but also then going out on the course and definitely making a difference in the last few important matches for Yorkshire. Great effort Matty. In the end Yorkshire came out on top winning by just one point. Comments from all players were very positive about the course and all had enjoyed the challenge.
