Members Survey Dear Member, The Board here at Hornsea Golf Club are working hard to keep moving our club forward and improve the overall experience for you, our members. We are fully aware that we need to constantly adapt to meet expectations and challenges from the ever-evolving golf environment and ensure the long-term sustainability of our club. As a member’s club, our members are our priority and at the heart of everything we do. A thriving, satisfied and healthy membership, is absolutely key to our club’s success. As a member, we really value your loyalty and custom at Hornsea Golf Club. I’m sure you’ll agree that the Board must ensure any decisions are in the best interests of the club and our members. In order to do this effectively, the Board of Directors must be fully informed and where possible, base decisions on facts and develop actions that we know will have positive impact. As our key shareholders, it is vitally important that we fully understand our member’s satisfaction levels in all areas of the club, in order to help us improve your experience. Please be assured, that we as a Board of Directors are very keen to listen to you. We must truly understand what is good about our club, what we are doing well and crucially, what could be better. This survey has been recommended by our local representative from England Golf, and will be conducted by using the Players 1st software. Players 1st specialise in the customer experience within golf clubs and their software allows survey results to be collated and analysed thoroughly and professionally. This survey has been arranged and will be processed free of charge to the club. Yours answers and comments in this survey will be anonymous, unless you choose to give us your details. We encourage you to be frank and honest in your responses which should be based on your experience over the past year and not just your experience currently. The information in this survey will be used as a management tool by the Board, in order to provide enhanced service levels and an overall experience that we hope exceeds your expectations. The survey will go live on the 29th January 2019 and you will receive an e-mail directly from Players 1st that will contain a link to the survey and instructions on how to complete it. Completing the survey will be straightforward and should take no more than 20 minutes. You will have 14 days to respond to the survey and it will close on the 12th February 2019. This is your opportunity, as a member, to constructively communicate with the Board of Directors and give us your honest feedback and ideas. The more members that complete the survey, the better, as it means we will get more accurate facts that we can then work with. Please do take the time to complete this survey and please also encourage other members and your playing partners to do the same. In order to be fully transparent, once the survey has closed, the results will be analysed and the findings will be published to the membership. These results will then be used to help the Board create a clear strategy and business plan for the club, containing short, medium- and long-term goals. Further member consultation will be used to feed this plan and once completed, it will also be shared with members, so everyone will be aware about the direction of travel and the club’s priorities.
