It's been a busy week in the shop with some new stock arriving most days. An additional colour range from PING and Oscar Jacobson. Both look great. (Click here to have a look!)
For those of you that understand technology I am currently on with trying to sort an 'app' for Hornsea Golf Club. When it is completed you should be able to access all the information you would ever need about everything that is going on at the club. When I have more details I shall let you know.
The sheet for the Gents Invitation Day will go up outside the shop tomorrow, Friday 29th May. The format is a Better Ball Stableford off white tees. Can you please enter in 4's as I can't guarantee to find you another pair. The date is Sunday 28th June and food will be available all day.
The date for the Hornsea Pro Am is nearly upon us but it's still not too late to enter a team. Remember if you don't have a Professional we can find one for you. Click here to view Pro Am poster.
It is nearly time for Joe Palmer, Leigh Gawley and Chris Wilson to really test themselves. On Friday June 26th they are going to be playing 100 holes for charity. This really will be quite a challenge and the three of them will need lots of support. If you are available to help on the day have a word in the shop or try to speak to one of them. Please visit their just giving page for more details on how you can sponsor them and support their chosen charities.

Congratulations to Paul Lockwood who had a good result in last week's Euro Pro event at Frilford Heath. With scores of 72, 68 and 72 he finished tied 9th and won just over £1,000 which is his best result of the season so far. It's a tough old school though as Gary King won for the 2nd event in a row with scores of 62, 70 and 74.

TUESDAY CLUB
Well I don't quite know how to start this report this week. I thought at the start of the season Willem Smith was going to walk away with the Tuesday Club title. He has come down in handicap though and his high scores have stopped for now. Young Ben Waite is also showing a bit of form now and this week he had a fine 42pts which took 2nd place. Unbelievable it might be but Bens score was 7 points short this week!!! An amazing score of 49 points by Will Jordan is one of the best individual scores I have ever heard of round Hornsea. His 49 points off 19 handicap also included a couple of 3 putts!!! Very well played Will and I have my eye on you!! Nearest the pin this week was won by Graham Markham. Better entry this week too with 39 playing 10 of whom played under their handicaps.
200 CLUB
At the board meeting on Tuesday night the May winners of the 200 club where drawn. The prize winners this month are:
1st-Mike Brooke £50
2nd-Brian Kirton £25
3rd-Grace Lockwood £15
Some tickets are still available and can be purchased from behind the bar.
MAIL ON SUNDAY
On Tuesday 26th May, Hornsea played Malton at home in the 3rd round of the Mail on Sunday. We had a strong team out but Malton where just too good on the night beating Hornsea 3½ to 1½. Our win came from Paul Harland with a 6&5 victory. Andy Fox managed a half but Mark Cooke, Ady Rosindale and Jonny Fisher all lost in close fought games. We shall just have to wait till next year again boys.
