Stretton's News Firstly this week a quick thanks to Nathan who did a great job of the newsletter last week. I hope you all enjoyed it. We were pleased to return home and find everything in order. In fact, the house was quite tidy! It was nice to spend a few days away with Yvonne and Natasha in Liverpool. It really is a superb place to visit if you have not been. It was really busy down by the Albert Dock as the Round the World Clipper Race was about to start. Amazing how small the boats are. You certainly wouldn’t get me doing it! We also had a nice long walk on Crosby Beach. It wasn’t possible to go for a paddle as the tide was miles out! What a fantastic beach though with, Another Place, the spectacular sculptures by Antony Gormley. Another Place consists of 100 cast-iron, life-size figures spread out along three kilometres of the shore and stretching almost one kilometre out to sea. Funny how some were dressed in old clothes. We also drove past Royal Birkdale. I was quite surprised to see that there was still so much of the infrastructure that has yet to be taken down from The Open a month ago. In all we had a great time, but as always we are pleased to be back at work!
