I am still getting a lot of people asking me about the Hornsea Golf Club App.
On the app you will find all sorts of things to hopefully make being a member of Hornsea Golf Club easier. Booking tee times, fixtures, the club website and much more can all be found in one place. This app is not just for using on a smart phone or tablet but can be used on any computer.
Put into your web browser:
hornsea.eagleapp.mobi
The log in 'member' number access code is 1234

We now also have another App!! This is the one you might have seen running in the Pro Shop. You can use this one for hole yardages etc. This one you do find on the App store.
The sheet is now up for the Captains away day to Selby on 3rd September. It is outside the shop. The cost is only £20 which includes coffee and bacon sandwich on arrival, 18 holes of golf, a two course meal and prizes. This is limited to 40 people. If enough people want to go on a bus this will be arranged and the cost will be split between them. Please mark on the sheet if you want to go on the bus.
The entry sheet will be displayed for the Captains Autumn Am Am which is on Sunday 9th August from Friday. Tee times from 7.30 to 11.30. Gents and ladies teams welcome.
Will all members please collect their AGM notices from the clubhouse next time you are at the club. This year's AGM is on 20th August and it will be nice to see a good attendance.
Many congratulations to Alf Clappison on achieving a hole in one on the 12th whilst playing last Friday. It's his first one and has only taken him since 1988 to get it!! Now that's nearly as long as it took me!!
This Saturday is the 3rd Round of the Centenary Gold Medal. Just a quick reminder that if you play before 1.30 you must enter the competition. There are plenty of times available after if you do not want to. The table for where you are positioned is on the results board in the gent's locker room.
Can I just say a massive congratulations to Phil Cross as after his performance in the Yorkshire Seniors a few weeks ago he has been called up to represent the Yorkshire Seniors in there County matches. Good luck Phil and well done.

CAPTAINS WEEKEND
What a fantastic weekend it was. Great weather apart from a couple of showers and some people played some amazing golf. The Summer Ball on Saturday night was a great night with good food and entertainment. I think a few might have had one or two too many drinks looking at the state of a few on Sunday Morning!! Huge thanks to all involved in making the weekend such a great success.
